Joanne Cowgill
Paralegal
Joanne is a Paralegal who has been with the firm since May 2004. She first started working in the Family Department but has since moved to our Conveyancing Department, assisting Louise Desoer in both residential and commercial transactions as well as assisting Mandy Howfield in the Private Client Department in both Lasting Powers of Attorney and probate matters. Since working at the firm Joanne has achieved her Paralegal qualifications.
In her free time Joanne enjoys reading, puzzles and playing darts in the women’s West Craven league.
Sana Ibrahim
Solicitor
Sana joined the firm in January 2026, she qualified as a Solicitor in October 2020, Sana deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, her little boy keeps her on her toes! She loves taking trips to the spa as well as meals out.
Debra Wilson
Paralegal
Debra is a Paralegal who has been with the firm since January 2020. She first started working in the Private Client Department but has since moved to our Conveyancing Department, assisting Louise Desoer in both residential and commercial transactions. Since working at the firm Debra has achieved her Paralegal and Licensed Conveyancer qualifications.
In her free time Debra enjoys running, her favourite being Parkruns on a Saturday morning. Being a keen Parkrun tourist, Debra travels to many different places over the country to take part in various Parkruns.
Louise Desoer
Director
Louise is a Director and the Head of the Conveyancing Department and has been with the firm since 2017. Louise specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing as well as dealing with other niche areas of land law.
In her free time Louise enjoys spending time with her horses, keeping fit and gardening. Louise is also very interested in languages and is studying Korean.
Amanda Howfield
Partner & Solicitor
Amanda (also known as Mandy) has worked for the firm since May 1999. She started as a secretary in the personal injury department. In 2008 Mandy qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive and had by this point moved into the Private Client department. In October 2013 she became a partner in the firm and went to university with a view to qualifying as a solicitor, which she completed in 2017.
In her spare time she enjoys walking, gardening and spending time with her family.
