For those in a care home, there are two systems in charge of your care. The NHS are supposed to pay if there are medical needs in place; however the County Council are supposed to pay if there are social needs but not medical ones. The problem is, the criteria they use are different, and can put your hard-earned assets at risk.
We help the people who unfortunately fall between these two bodies and negotiate with the appropriate one to make sure you’re getting all the support you’re entitled to. Previously we have even managed to secure repayments for people who should have had care provided, but had their capital drained instead.
